HISTORY






History
O-M Ltd. was established in 1949 to manufacture spinning machines. Over the years it has experienced many changes that affected how the business was performed. Since 1960, the company has been a leading producer of industrial machine tools and automatic packaging machines.

The machines produced by O-M Ltd. are generally geared for industrial production facilities managed by production orders, though can be customized for a variety of applications depending on the industry or type of item to be produced.

O-M Ltd. aims to continue supplying quality products and foster the trust and technical expertise that we have accumulated with satisfied users over the half century we have been in business.



July 1949   Separated from Daiwa Boseki Co., Ltd. as an independent company
(Company name: Daiwa Kikai Kogyo Co., Ltd.)
January 1950   O-M Boki Seisakusho Co., Ltd., Osaka Denki Chuko Co., Ltd., and Hamada Kikai Kogyo Co., Ltd. merged together with the goal of ensuring more consistent manufacture of spinning machines. (Company name changed to O-M Boki Seisakusho Co., Ltd.)
October 1952   Listed on the Osaka Stock Exchange
September 1960   Merged with Osaka Kikai Seisakyusho Co., Ltd. Manufacture of machine tools and automatic packaging machines begun in order to complete machinery for exclusive systems. (Company name changed to O-M Ltd.)
November 1971   Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange
