Transfer announcement of Osaka Plant operations January 15, 2001

For more efficient management, higher profitability, and the future prosperity of the automatic machine department, at the end of March 2001 we decided to move our Osaka Plant operations -- supported for many years by many loyal customers -- to our Shinji Plant in Shimane Prefecture. All of us at O-M Ltd. will strive to satisfy all our customers' needs by looking at this change as an opportunity to improve our business. Just as you have supported us up until now, we would appreciate your patronage in the future as well.

The Nagaoka Plant has obtained ISO 14001 certification. January 1, 2001

The Nagaoka Plant continues its environmental activities through its reduction of power consumption, reduction of waste lubricating oil, research & development into and realization of semi dry-cut systems (a grinding system that uses the heat of vaporization of pure water) under the implementation of environmental policies for controlling resource consumption and industrial wastes, rationalization of energy use and prevention of global warming, and development of mechanical processing technologies that have minimal impact on the environment. These activities were highly acknowledged, leading to our company's certification in November 2000 for ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management.
